Reading Setup

Getting better this year at setting up a more deliberate reading practice. For that I had some desires for setup, and since we live in “the future” and so many people provide amazing tools this was all pretty easy to accomplish.

Goals

For that I wanted a few things.

1. Central repository for books
2. Mostly reading via eink
3. Ability to sync reading progress with phone

Hardware

These were all things I had already

• Android phone - Pixel 6
• Android ink device - Boox Tab Mini C
• NAS that can run Calibre-Web - Synology DS720+

Software

• Calibre library
• Calibre-Web
• Moon+ Reader Pro
• Dropbox account (for reading progress syncing)

Steps

1. Install Calibre-Web on NAS and copy library to NAS
2. Install Moon+ Reader Pro on Android devices
3. Setup Calibre-Web in Moon+ Reader “Net Library” Settings
4. Setup sync to Dropbox in Moon+ Reader
5. Enjoy
